Why Indians are more prone to get Heart Attack problems
Answer to this question was given by Dr. V.S Prakash, an eminent Cardiologist of India on our talk show, Dil Se Dil Tak Healthy Heart.
Indians, he said are more prone to heart attacks for a variety of reasons, some amongst them are Dyslipidemia, Diabetes, Obesity, Hypertension & also because of the sedentary lifestyle they follow.
It has become quite common even to see youngsters from Asian countries primarily in Indian subcontinent being affected by heart diseases,” Dr Prakash added as fast food which has become the way of life for all youngsters
He very aptly quoted that there are sudden cardiac death in which patient collapses and dies of cardiac arrest while watching Tv
However, on the positive side, a majority of them can delay this sudden cardiac Arrest by bringing minor changes in their lifestyle & also by doing Regular exercise has shown to reduce the risk of sudden cardiac death by 50%
Further Dr. Prakash thrown light on certain tests by which we can diagnose an impending heart attack like Stress test, Calcium scoring tests, computerized tomography (CT) coronary angiogram
